Ancient Family History

According to results of genetic tests I'm a member of so called Haplogorup R1a, defined by genetic marker M17. This haplogroup originated about 10000 years ago on grassy steps of of Ukraine and Southern Russia. Funny, how such things can be hidden in family tales. Apparently my ancestors migrated from those regions to south eastern Poland, from where my father comes.

I'll probably also try m-RNA tests just to see my motherly lineage. :-)
